It's been quite some time since I have written any posts on my blog page! We are excited to ring in the New Year of 2025! We have already started a complete renovation inside the Lyon's Den on Hagen Farm, which we hope to have complete late Winter or early Spring of 2025. We will begin the landscaping renovations as the weather starts to improve early Spring through Summer of 2025 and beyond. It's an exciting time for Jay and I and we look forward to hosting guests again in one or both homes. Whether you are just wanting a "haycation", visiting family in the area, coming into town for a wedding or graduation ceremony, we are excited to open up our historical farmhouses for guests again soon! This photo is from late 1800s, on the farm, when the original settlers, the Morgan family came from Wales and settled here. This was the bunk house that was built on the farm, next to the farmhouse, we currently live in, built in 1901. Bill Morgan, the son who Jay's father bought the farm from in 1949, is shown 3rd from left with his face and hat in front of the open door. We were happy to host some of the descendants of the Morgan Family here a few years ago and they brought us some great photos!
